DAÏA – Daniela Brosset
Originally from Beiuș, Romania, having lived and studied in Oradea and Cluj, and later working in Oradea, Daniela Maier dedicated her life to psychopedagogy—first as a French language teacher, and later as a special education teacher specializing in recovery therapies.
In 2009, she met the “prince of her heart,” who would become her husband. Following him to France, she settled in the Paris area, devoting herself both to art and to her vocation as a teacher, continuing to work with children with disabilities.
Her artistic journey has been marked by numerous exhibitions—collective, international, and solo—in France, as well as in Spain, Italy, Belgium, Austria, and even at an Art Shopping event in New York. Recognition of her artistic talent soon followed, with her paintings earning numerous awards, distinctions, and medals, as well as features in art and design magazines, presentations on local radio and television stations, and appearances on YouTube channels.
Her inspiration—under the artistic pseudonym DAÏA—comes from everywhere:
-
From nature: “November Frost Sunrise,” “Sunset over the Mountains”…
-
From Greek mythology: “Between Scylla and Charybdis” (I & II), “The Indifference of the Nereids,” “Ouranos,” “Poseidon and Amphitrite,” “I, Phoenix”…
-
From Romanian poetry: “At the Star…,” “You Had Barely Left,” subtitled “Cherchez la femme” / “Seek the Woman”…
-
From the works of Brâncuși: “Brâncușian Dance”…
-
From her travels: “Memories from Barcelona”…
-
From Romanian and foreign traditions: “Postcard,” “Holy Night,” “The Red Dragon,” “Another Horn of Plenty”…
-
From natural phenomena: “Northern Lights”…
-
From the free flight of birds: “Evasion in Azure Blue”…
-
From the beauty of water lilies: “Felix Giverny I & II”…
-
From the expressive blues of the sky, the sea, or the eyes of a loved one: “Between Two Worlds (of Light) I & II,” “The Sky is My Canvas,” “The Gate Beyond the Clouds,” “Intensity”…
-
From faith in divinity: “Tribute to Mary”…
