About the Artist
My name is Andrada Cristina Gălbenușa. My roots are from Oradea, Romania and my greatest passion in life is painting. For me art, faith and science are the three forces that elevate the human spirit to its highest potential..
Although I studied Finance and Banking and currently run a business in the IT sector, painting has always been more than a hobby — it’s the most personal and fulfilling part of who I am. My creative journey began in childhood, inspired by the women in my family. My mother and grandmother used to weave traditional Romanian fabrics — tablecloths and towels — with a harmony of color and pattern that I now recognize as early expressions of art. Those handmade pieces planted the seed of my artistic identity.
Over the years, I developed my own painting style, rooted in emotion and deeply connected to nature. I paint what I see and feel — filtered by my personality. Whether working with brushes or palette knives on large canvases, I channel an inner fire that’s been with me since childhood. My floral and nature-themed compositions carry a profound love for life, for people and for the world around me.
Art for Heart: Painting with Purpose
At the heart of my work is a philosophy I call “Art for Heart” — an approach to painting that blends beauty with feeling, intuition with structure, and soul with form.
As a contemporary artist, my practice is grounded in emotional depth, spiritual grace, and authenticity. Every brushstroke is a way of expressing the invisible — what is felt but not always seen — what connects us on a human level. My goal is not only to create visually engaging work, but to offer a window into the inner world — both mine and the viewer’s.
My work has been exhibited in Romania, France, and beyond, and has found homes with collectors, designers, and art lovers across Europe. Each painting is an invitation to slow down, reflect, and reconnect — not just with art, but with what truly matters.
When I stand in front of a blank canvas, I feel a powerful energy flow through me — a love for beauty, for my homeland, and for people. I believe love is what brings us together, and through my work, I hope to offer that love in visual form. Art brings me joy and a sense of purpose. Each day, I strive to grow in this craft and share light with the world — not just decoration, but soulfully made works of meaning and presence.
Awards & Recognition
In October 2023, Andrada received the Painter Artist Medal from the Académie des Arts, Sciences et Lettres in Paris — a prestigious institution recognizing cultural excellence in Europe. This honor marked a defining moment in her career, highlighting her voice as an emerging presence in contemporary European art.
